This policy explains how Budora (“we”, “us”) handles your personal information when you use budora.net or place an order with us. We handle personal information under British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act and, where it applies, the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act.

Who we are

Budora is an online cannabis seller. We offer same-day delivery in Metro Vancouver and mail order across Canada. Our privacy contact is hello@budora.co. You can also text or call 778-800-5876.

What we collect

  • Contact details: your name, delivery address, phone number and email address.
  • Age and identity details: your date of birth, and the name on your ID when it is checked (see “Age and ID checks” below).
  • Order details: what you bought, when, how you paid and where it was delivered.
  • Payment details: we record that payment was received. We do not store card numbers.
  • Messages you send us by email, text, form or social media.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser, device type, pages viewed and cookie identifiers.

Why we collect it

  • To confirm you are old enough to buy cannabis.
  • To take, deliver and support your order, including refunds and credits.
  • To tell you about your order, such as delivery text updates.
  • To run our rewards programme.
  • To prevent fraud and misuse.
  • To meet legal and accounting obligations.
  • To send marketing, only if you have agreed to it. You can withdraw that agreement at any time.

Age and ID checks

The legal age to buy and possess cannabis in British Columbia is 19. We do not sell to anyone under 19.

How we check your age and ID

Our driver asks to see government-issued photo ID on delivery. The name on the ID must match the name on the order, and the ID must show that you are 19 or older. If you cannot show valid ID, the name does not match or your age cannot be confirmed, the driver will not hand over the order.

Cookies and analytics

We use cookies to keep your cart working, remember your choices and measure how the site is used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may stop checkout from working.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only when it is needed to serve you or when the law requires it:

  • Delivery drivers and couriers receive your name, address and phone number. Mail orders go through Canada Post or another carrier.
  • Payment and e-transfer providers receive the details needed to confirm payment.
  • Website hosting, email, text-message and analytics providers act on our behalf.
  • Authorities, where we are legally required to disclose information, or where it is needed to respond to a valid legal request.

We do not sell your personal information.

Where your information is stored

Our site and order records are hosted in Canada. If your information is stored outside Canada, it may be subject to the laws of that country, including access by its authorities.

How long we keep it

We keep order and account records forever, and only as long as we need them for the purposes above or to meet legal and accounting requirements. After that we delete or anonymise them.

How we protect it

We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, and limit staff access to what their role needs. No system is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security. If a breach creates a real risk of significant harm to you, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to:

  • tell you what personal information we hold about you and how we use it;
  • give you a copy;
  • correct anything that is wrong;
  • delete information we no longer need to keep; or
  • stop sending you marketing.
